Article Submission Policy
Feature articles are spotlighted in our electronic newsletter,
E-Magnify Extra!, and archived on the website. The requirements
and guidelines for written material that is published on e-magnify
are shown below. All articles should reflect the mission
of Seton Hill University's E-Magnify women's business center
and are subject to Editor's approval. Articles may be edited for
style, grammar, content, and length.
When submitting articles, please follow these guidelines:
1. Articles must be written on a business-related topic of interest to women in business. For examples of relevant topics,
please see the article archives. Currently, we are searching for articles on topics including:
- Top Line Growth - strategies for increasing sales and revenue
- Bottom Line Growth - ideas and solutions for improving productivity gaining efficiencies and minimizing expenses
- Human Resources - hiring, firing, outsourcing, and employee benefit and retention strategies
- Personal Financial Growth - how to grow, protect, and preserve the wealth you've earned
- Philanthropy - giving time and money: philanthropic strategies for successful women
- Small Business - ideas, topics, accounts of smaller businesses
2. Articles may mention specific businesses and companies, but they must not be "advertisements" for any specific business
or company.
3. All sources must be clearly and properly identified using MLA style.
4. Article length should be approximately 300 - 500 words. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, subject to
Editor's approval.
5. Submit articles by following the instructions in the form below. You can also send articles in the body of an email to info@e-magnify.com. Do not send
attachments, as these may not be opened due to security issues. We are not responsible for email that cannot be opened or read.
6. The subject line of your email should read "Article Submission."
7. Articles can include a short "About the Author" section that identifies the author's professional
credentials. This section may also include contact information for the author.
We will notify the author if we choose to publish the article.
